James Altucher says you need multiple simultaneous Passion-s. If you DON’T have simultaneous passions then you have almost no chance of creating something new to the world... It’s ONLY the combination of passions that make you unique.
EMC bought Pivotal Tracker. It is not clear to me why EMC acquired Pivotal, though a reasonable guess would be to take agile development and Pivotal methodology into the enterprise.

Venkatesh Rao on his WebLog Long Game (non-BusinessModel). *Curiously, the “smart” in the smart money is the unadulterated goodwill it carries. Though there are no strings attached, I feel a strong urge to reinvest Sponsorship income back into the blog and related activities rather than using it to pay the bills. In a way, the money comes with the opposite of a moral hazard attached. (more)
John Schwartz on the College Tuition-free Olin College Engineering School. Olin is stressing Creativity, Team Work and Entrepreneurship - and, in no small part, Courage. Project Based Learning... officially opened in 2002... more than 40% of students are Women... received its initial Accreditation last December after graduating its first class... Some graduates have told him that they are not happy in their first jobs and feel like cogs in a machine. (more)

Should the Occupy Wall Street Coalition have a Plausible Promise? Can it? This is a movement in search of a message, a community trying to define itself by listening. There seem to be two broad camps: one believes Occupy Wall St. should adopt a specific demand to address unequal distribution of wealth (Wealth Inequality) in America (views vary, of course, about what policy should be advocated to achieve this); while the other camp is focused on creating a Spectacle that will create its own momentum, grow larger, and define its goals at some undetermined point in the future.
